    I used to have U.S cellular in Gainesville Florida, but i switched to alltel. What ever happen to Us Cellular in florida?

    The panhandle went to attws (which, of course, became Cingular, and now AT&T). Ft. Pierce went to Alltel.

    What do you mean but they went to ATTWS? Did Attws buy them out or did they just move out of the area?

    There was a major trade where we gave attws our properties in north FL and south GA, in exchange for several of their unused licenses - markets like OKC, St. Louis, and Indianapolis. This was back in early '04.
