I'm new to this ringtone concept and am relying on those of you that are old hands at it. My phone is thru US Cellular and from what I can figure out they pretty much control thru their "easyedge" service the purchasing of nearly anything for your phone. But being around the block a time or two I relaize that there is always someone who has found out a way around anything. So my question to all you experts is, do you know of any service where I can get downloaded ringtones without getting gouged by US Cellular?
There is a way but its just pretty time consuming. heres what I do: I download a song on my computer (mp3 format). Then I open up BitPim (www.bitpim.org to download). I go to the part on bitpim where you can open the file, and make a clip out of the part of the song I want. After you get it the way you want, save it to your desktop, then attatch it to an e-mail and send it to your phone (your ten digit number@mms.uscc.net).
