Cricket service with PDA

    I have a customer interested in using Cricket with a flashed 6700 pda... I'm not familiar with Cricket PDA plans and cannot find them on their sites. Anyone have any info on Cricket and PDAs?

    I don't believe Cricket accepts them. Cricket is not as flash-friendly as MetroPCS. Even Metro can't flash all phones.

    Not only that but even if the 6700 works on Cricket, it would only be able to receive and make calls, as no texting or data is available.

    This person may be better off just getting a Cricket phone (even though there selection is horrendous).

    You can use a flashed 6700 on Cricket. They activate almost anything. 6700's were flashable years ago. Full functionality.

    Incorrect: Cricket no longer flashes phones nor will they do so at any of their locations.
    Not sure why, but this is a semi recent discovery as I attempt to find out how to flash my old verizon phone over myself to transfer it.

    I tried calling local stores too to confirm.

    I think I'm going to just move to the Iphone and be done with it. :) I never use the minutes I used to that required I have an unlimited mobile plan. The rollover minutes will be nice in case I get a month or two where I linger on the phone too long.

    I never said they would flash. I said "activate". Big diference :) You can still use any flashed phone on cricket.
