My wife just got an V323i. This was an upgrade from an existing phone. When she tries to get her voice mail it will not send her pin. We get the message, enter PIN and we enter it but it never seems to be received by US Cellular. Does anyone know how to fix this or should we go back to the dealer? Mike
Welcome to WA Mike. Try entering the default VM pin code, which would be the last four of her phone number. If this doesn't work, I would call U.S. Cellular's customer care Dept. at 1-888-944-9400. They may be able to do a VM reset for her.
Sorry, I didn't explain this well. We can get the messages from a land line and the password is fine. The problem is with the V323i. We type in the password but keep getting the message to enter the password. It is like the V323i is not sending the password. The manual says enter the password then hit ok. This isn't working. Mike
Try this: Instead of hitting ok after entering your password from your handset, enter the password and press the "pound key". Unless this is different on U.S Cellular, I always have to enter my password and then press pound to enter my voice mailbox. Let me know if this works for you.
Usually you don't have to hit anything after you enter the password, There is a known quirk with the 323i, on some of the USCC handsets, the DTMF is set on "short" by default. Try Menu/Settings/Initial Setup/ DTMF/Long. Neither "short" or "off" work. Please let me know if this helped.
Unless I'm missing a way to turn this prompt off, both my Verizon and TMobile phones give me the "Please enter your password and then press the pound key" message every time I use my handset to check my VM messages.
it didnt work for me my phone is still locked and my bill is do and im not try to pay for metro pcs to unlock my phone.do anybody know how to unlock the v323i.
My phone is doing the same thing but mine act like im putting in the wrong code do any one know how to unlock the v323i im not trying to pay metro pcs they charge you for everything
Hello & Welcome to WA. I am not quite sure that your situation is the same as Mike's. he has a USCC, Motorola V323i that was not recognizing his VoiceMail password. This would have nothing to do with unlocking the phone, besides the V323i is a CDMA phone carried by Verizon, USCC & MetroPCs and technically can not be unlocked. What would you gain if could unlock it? Please provide some details. Thanks much
What are they adding $15 for on your bill? I'm confused. Also, we are here to help, and "yelling" in All caps does not get our enthusiasm up.
Every carrier uses different Voicemail systems and voicemail platforms, so the menus and commands are not the same across networks, even across different areas for some carriers.
